Lab In-A Box is a handy little box – a two-part gift containing the basic tools necessary for the budding perfumer in your life. It also functions as a gift certificate, good for one open session at the IAO.
PART 1: THE TOOLS
This kit contains the basic tools of a perfume laboratory: Empty vials to fill with aromatic molecules, pipettes, tubs for your trials, scent strips, and two spray vials for your final scents. Consider these tools a blank canvas, soon to be populated with a personalized selection of beautiful perfume materials, chosen from the IAO’s perfume organ in Los Angeles.
PART 2: THE EXPERIENCE
This kit also serves as a passport to a unique experience – an open session at the IAO, where you will smell and select five materials to fill your vials. Open sessions are relaxed happenings where a group of strangers come together to explore the beautiful materials of perfumery. They happen every wednesday from 5:30 to 8:30pm, and occasionally on weekends.
