Each episode explores the world of perfumery and other nasal-centric concerns through a single topic, hosted by Maxwell Williams.

Broadcasting from Mediamatic (Amsterdam)

Scentless Apprentice launched in 2018 during the IAO residency at Mediamatic in Amsterdam, and was broadcast in partnership with dublab radio, in Los Angeles. It took the form of a 4-part radio show hosted and produced by Maxwell Williams, broadcasting live on Tuesdays.

Scentless Apprentice is a bricolage radio program featuring a concoction of interviews, true stories, tall tales, and cultural oddities explored through the lens of scent. Each episode explores the world of perfumery and other nasal-centric concerns through a single topic. Host Maxwell Williams will be broadcasting live every Tuesday night at Mediamatic’s sunny Tuinkamer (Garden Room), for the first aromatic radio show, anywhere, ever.
