label_perfume1x2We’re pleased to team up with North East Los Angeles-based food/art collaborative Thank You For Coming, in support of their CSA (Community Supported Agriculture/ Community Supported Art) program for September, 2015.

This partnership has taken the form of a micro-edition of perfume delivered in 15ml spray bottles. ‘A Warm Scent for Winter’ is a practically edible scent in eau de toilette dilution (10%), that was created collaboratively with the team at Thank You For Coming and the Institute for Art and Olfaction.

ABOUT A WARM SCENT FOR WINTER

TYFCMade in Los Angeles for people of all genders, ‘A Warm Scent for Winter’ is a gourmand perfume with notes of cedarwood, ambergris, musk, chocolate, clove and sandalwood.

With only 27 half-ounce bottles created, this micro-edition reflects the intimacy of the community around Thank You For Coming, and the organization’s focus on warmth, friendship, and the beauty of a shared meal.

It’ll warm cold cold hearts and melt the iciest of stares. It’ll also throw a serious damper on your diet.

(No, we’re kidding. Also: Please, do not drink the perfume)

The CSA launches September 11-13, 2015.
The perfume will be available for sale thereafter, at TYFC.

ABOUT THANK YOU FOR COMING

TYFC_LogoThank You For Coming (TYFC) collectively runs a permanent food and art space where we experiment with permissible models in order to allow for creative experimentation and collaboration. Seeking to blur public perceptions of art and cultural production, TYFC simultaneously functions as an ongoing performance and installation as well as a fully permitted restaurant. In its current form, TYFC houses an artist-in-residence program and invites other artists, chefs, or other individuals and collectives to present and collaborate on special menus, events, performances, public programs, and workshops.

Thank You For Coming now offers subscriptions to its very own CSA — Community Supported Art! Inspired by Community Supported Agriculture programs that help small-scale farms distribute goods to their supporters, TYFC’s CSA is an annual food and art subscription that kicks off in 2015 as a quarterly for $180. A quarterly box may include, for example, sourdough bread, housemade yogurt, cheese, preserves, printed materials, artist-made functional objects, or surprises from one of our community partners or guest cooks.

Coinciding with each CSA pickup is the announcement of a new artist edition available in our shop. Special events for the release of these artist editions are always open to the public, but CSA members will receive an edition in their distribution and/or are able to purchase the editions at a discount.
