RESEARCH PROJECT: SCENT INTERVIEWS IN RWANDA
The IAO is pleased to support Elizabeth Ames Staudt’s research project around the popular perceptions of scent in Rwanda. Joining an anthropologist in Kigali and surrounding towns for much of 2013, Staudt will interview the population she encounters about their experience with scent, asking the same two disarming and revealing questions: What do you smell like? What do you like to smell?
