Two small poems inspired by September’s schedule at the IAO, and some actual information, too. Our first newsletter for Autumn is live, and we promise that – at the very least – it will help you exercise your eye muscles.
August 21: Screening of ‘The Nose’
Perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri has become famous for his brilliant formulations for his brands Nasomatto and Orto Parisi. A finalist at the 2015 Art and Olfaction Awards (for ‘Boccanera’), his unique perspective on the inclusion of funk, spunk, dirt and filth have made of his scents stand-out – if not controversial – successes.
August 2015: Newsletter
You work all night / And when you work you don’t feel alright / And then, things stop feeling alright
August 29: Housewarming Party
A party in Chinatown, with nice people getting drunk, music and perfume. I mean… What more could you possibly hope for, out of your saturday night?
Hey Seattle!
Seattle perfumers: We’re coming for you, and we want to hang out (on Sunday July 19th, 5-7pm).
Moved In, Fully Funded: Life is good!
It’s not often that one is able to bask in a sense of relief, but this is one of those rare moments! Why? Because we are all finished with packing and lugging boxes!
By a nose? More like BUY a nose!
We’re running out of clever ways to use the word ‘nose’. However – creative block notwithstanding – we’re still nosing along to a successful campaign: With two weeks to go, you’ve helped us raise just over 65% of our $7,000 goal! Thank you!
June 23: Roman Unguentarium
The IAO is pleased to play host to an ancient Roman perfume bottle from the 1st century A.D. This is a chance to personally handle an authentic 2,000 year-old unguentarium from The Mini Museum’s permanent collection.
JUNE 13: Dirty Dirty Animals
Back by popular demand: Unleash your inner beast with Ashley Eden Kessler as she walks us through the deep and dirty world of animalics.
