The Genealogy of Scent: Ambery and Balsamic Part 1 (in person)

We are excited to introduce a new in-person series: The Genealogy of Scent. Taught by perfumer Dana El Masri, these classes will explore the most important perfumes in contemporary perfumery, and the materials that inform them. Each class will cover a brief history and cultural impact of the materials studied, and technical information such as extraction methods and countries of origin. The class then cover the classic, contemporary, mass market and niche applications of these materials by looking at (and smelling) important perfumes.
In Ambery and Balsamic, Part One, Dana will start a two-part exploration of amber, resinous, and balsamic scents.
