Guided Smelling Workshop: BO, Animalics, and Funk (In Person)

Join us for a guided smelling session introducing different important materials used to evoke the smell of body odor, animalic musk, and more mammalian funk. Smell and learn about these aromatics. Scent strips will be handed out by your friendly Institute for Art and Olfaction team, and we will spend time smelling and discussing our impressions of these materials.
This class is an introduction to the materials you may encounter in your favorite perfumes, or may incorporate as an independent perfumer. The class will assist you in your familiarity with fragrance materials as you enter your journey into the world of perfume and olfactory art.
Class will cover approximately 15 materials, in a discussion-based format.
Take-Aways: Participants will leave with a sense of the basics of aromatic materials related to animalics, BO and funk. Additional small vials of aromatic materials from our public organ may be purchased a la carte after class.

Our online classes are recorded, and the video is available to registered attendees for 7 days after the class takes place. Because the class is recorded and can be viewed later, we do not provide refunds or transfers for online classes.
