Introduction to MoCRA (in person)

Confused by the language around the new FDA Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act (MoCRA)? Sarah Horowitz-Thran is here to help you navigate this new world of regulation and best practices, with humor, generosity and insight from decades of experience.
This class will be focused on understanding MoCRA, how it may apply your own creative practice, and your best practices for compliance with MoCRA.
We will start by focusing on the important questions every commercial perfumer or aspiring perfumer should ask and answer, around the best practices of perfume production.
We will then talk about such crucial subjects as new important terminology. We will also look at the labeling responsibilities, and cover safety issues, documentation, and more topics under MoCRA’s jurisdiction.
All in all, this will be an information-rich session from a veteran perfumer who now heads a MoCRA compliant Contract Manufacturing facility, with 20k sq feet dedicated to filling orders from 100 units to 100k units at a time, for clients selling to stores such as Sephora, Ulta, Nordstroms and more.
