Make your own perfume! Shades of Blue (in person)

Blue moon, blue mood, blue movie. Blue blood, blue collar, blue ribbon.
The word blue is used to describe so many things, but how would it smell? In this class, we will explore blue-smelling things through beatiful aromatics, from a briny ocean to a sky, a glacier to a sapphire. Really, it’s a vibe.
IAO founder Saskia Wilson-Brown leads attendees through the basics of perfume composition, with a very simple goal in mind: To make ourselves our own interpretation of the color blue.
The first half of class will focus on learning our aromatic palette, as we smell and discuss a curated selection of materials with a bluish tinge. The second portion of the class will consist of perfume composition: Each participant will be invited to work with the curated materials to create an original formula, each leaving with a 30ml Eau de Cologne-strength perfume.
