March 13 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm PDT

There are two divisions of Japanese incense, one that can be heated, and the other burned. Kneaded incense balls (or Nerikoh) is incense meant to be heated. Dating back thousands of years to China, Korea, and Japan, it is often made with finely ground herbs, resin, and fresh material including honey.
Los Angeles-based perfumer Persephenie teaches how to make Nerikoh in a hands-on class that covers history and technique.
