Join Rubia Chaudri and Yusuf Misdaq at the majestic Astralab for Sunday Service: A spiritual journey exploring scent culture in Islam. We will start the morning off with a cleanse and prayer led by Artist Yusuf Misdaq. Rubia Chaudri will then kick off our smelling session, exploring scent materials referenced in Islamic texts and how they were utilized in the past and today. After a Q&A, hang out and enjoy some tea and snacks with fellow perfume lovers.

Rubia Chaudri began her fragrance making journey in Los Angeles (2016) at the Institute for Art and Olfaction (IAO). As an Independent Perfumer, Rubia has worked on a variety of projects, partnering with brands and organizations to create olfactive experiences, to hosting fragrance making workshops and creating bespoke fragrance products upon request. In 2023, Rubia was part of a delegation invited to explore scent culture in Qatar, taking what she learned and incorporating it in her cultural scent talks. Most recently, she was commissioned by the IAO and Dublab to create a unique fragrance to commemorate Prince’s Purple Rain. For more details: https://www.rubiahoma.com/
