They can be used to enhance bready\, nutty\, and roasted effects\, and adding notes of coffee\, popcorn\, butter\, rice\, and matcha\, among others. As useful as they are\, they are potent\, and can be hard to work with. \nIn this class\, Spyros Drosopoulos leads an exploration of these difficult materials in a theory-oriented exploration of potent\, roasted\, bready pyrazines. \nWe will start class by smelling a selection of pyrazines\, learning how they can be deployed in perfumery to create important effects and impressions. We will also examine and explain several formulas that make use of pyrazines\, demonstrating through practical knowledge how to cleverly use these notes in fine fragrance. \nThree hours\, in person.
