The Genealogy of Scent: Fruits with Dana El Masri
June 27 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm PDT
$45.00–
The Genealogy of Scent series is taught by perfumer Dana El Masri. Each class will explore the most important perfumes in contemporary practice, and the materials that inform them. Each class covers a brief history and the cultural impact of the materials studied, as well as technical information such as extraction methods and countries of origin. The class then covers the classic, contemporary, mass market and niche applications of these materials by looking at (and smelling) important perfumes.
In Fruits, Dana leads an exploration of peach, mango, cassis, and raspberry, their scent components, and notable perfumes.
