For the first portion of this smelling and blending session, we will learn about some smells of Halloween. Scent strips will be handed out by your friendly Institute for Art and Olfaction team, and we will spend time smelling and discussing our impressions of aromatic materials associated with sweet treats and spooky tricks.

We will start the second portion of the session by briefly discussing blending scent, and your individual Halloween-related scent concept. Each student will have the opportunity to blend with aromatic materials previously selected as well as those more closely fitting to their seasonal concept. We will spend the rest of the session experimenting with our own short formulas. Each attendee goes home with a small trial of their aromatic homage to the season of spirits, and a commemorative fan (for scenting!).
