Perfume on the Radio
Launched: January 14, 2021

Smell is all around us. It permeates every aspect of human experience and endeavor. The Institute for Art and Olfaction is excited to explore humanity’s deep cultural connections with smell in a new collaborative radio show led by the IAO team, the IAO community, friends, and the good people at  Lookout FM.

Each episode will tackle a new sensorial connection by exploring cultural associations through interviews, community reports, historical insight and more. Featuring perfumers, academics, aficionados, and artists speaking about their  work with scent, Perfume on the Radio will also welcome guest curators and hosts from the olfactory community.

Join the IAO team and friends on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 5pm PDT on Lookout FM, and we’ll take you somewhere fascinating, smelly, and always original.

ABOUT THE INSTITUTE FOR ART AND OLFACTION

Founded in September 2012 in Los Angeles, The Institute for Art and Olfaction is a 501(c)3 non-profit devoted to advancing public access to the practice of working with scent. We do this by initiating and supporting experimental projects with scent, by providing accessible education in our experimental laboratory as well as in partnership with institutions and community groups, and by raising visibility for independent, artisan and experimental perfumery as a whole. Through these efforts, we extend the world of scent beyond its traditional boundaries of appreciation and use.

The Institute for Art and Olfaction can be found online at http://artandolfaction.com.
