MORE INFORMATION
For this special event, we traded in our old-hat sense of sight for the pleasures / fascination of the olfactory. Snowblink played an aromatic set in a scent collaboration with the Institute for Art and Olfaction, while the packed house reclines on pillows, blindfolded. Snowblink was joined by their favorites and friends, the very great INGA.
Event Description: An intimate (and aromatic) evening of music and scent, Snowblink is back at the Institute for Art and Olfaction. This time they are bringing their friends from Inga along for an indescribable evening of aural rapture. During their set, Snowblink will be accompanied by a live scent-track, featuring aromas custom-made for each song. The scents will be disseminated into the space as participants relax on cushions, blindfolded. LA-based Inga – a band Fader Magazine says is “quietly making the best psychedelic music around” – will start the evening off with their unique brand of uncontainable ‘music for living’. Bring your own cushions + blindfolds (seriously): We’ll provide the drinks + the scents.

About Snowblink
Snowblink is non-denominational devotional pop music created by Daniela Gesundheit and Dan Goldman. Gesundheit was a featured vocalist alongside Brian Eno on Owen Pallett’s In Conflict. In 2014, Snowblink joined forces with Feist and AroarA to form Hydra, a collaborative seven-piece band that toured across Canada. That year also saw Gesundheit collaborate with celebrated acoustic biologist Katy Payne (The Song of the Humpback Whale) for performances that featured choirs trained in the principles of Humpback whale “composition.” Goldman and Gesundheit were both featured on Chris Hadfield’s Songs From a Tin Can – the first record ever to be recorded in space. Snowblink has released two critically acclaimed records on Fire and Arts & Crafts, with a third studio album, Returning Current, due out on Outside Music in September 2016.
