We launched our nose campaign today and hit the ground running. In fact we hit our first milestone of $1,000 in donations just six hours after announcing the campaign. And then – oh happy day! – we quickly surpassed it.
Our overall fiscal goal is to raise $7,000 before June 30. We’re raising this money so that we can make the necessary improvements to our new space in Chinatown.
Fundraising is really hard, and early support is crucial to the campaign’s success. It raises morale, it instills confidence, and it creates the momentum that will carry the campaign through to completion.
For these reasons – and for many others – we want to thank the donors that stepped in today on our first day to help us knock through our first goal in two shakes of a lamb’s tail.

NOSES UPDATE
We’re really pretty excited about creating a wall of plaster noses.
Check out this photo of some of our nose prototypes, sculpted with love by IAO Creative Director Micah Hahn and Founder Saskia Wilson-Brown. From left to right, we have the prototype for Tycho Brahe, Cleopatra, Pierrot and Cyrano de Bergerac. Also, below is an image from our first attempt at creating a latex mold of one of our noses. We laid the latex out very thickly, and only then read the instructions about doing thin layers, one by one. Oh well. Fingers crossed that it comes out alright!
We’ll keep you posted.
THANK YOU!
