There are worse things we could do
than go to a place, or two
Though the U.S. is so vast,
there are questions to be asked,
Spots to see, and things to do.
So there are worse things we could do.
We could focus on fancy
perfume that is far from free.
Sell you bottles full of turds,
wrapped in marketing keywords
Like ‘exquisite’ and ‘bespoke’;
Give no shits when you are broke.
We could play your vanity.
Exploit your insecurity,
Our shared need to feel sexy.
But here’s a dose of sanity:
Perfume’s great, but truth is, too.
We’re not snobs, and so to you
Those are the things we’d never do-oo.
