The Institute for Art and Olfaction is pleased to announce the venue, date and judges for the fifth annual Art and Olfaction Awards.

As with past awards, finalists will be anonymously selected by a panel of judges in the Artisan and Independent categories in a double-blind judging process, and the Sadakichi Award for Experimental Work with Scent judges will select both the finalists and the winner in their category.

For 2018, we add a new discretionary award: The Aftel Award for Handmade Perfume. This, along with the Contribution to Scent Culture Award, create two new opportunities to celebrate excellence in artisan perfume, and to honor people whose work has led to greater public awareness of perfume culture, as a whole. Each category winner will receive The Golden Pear, which has quickly become a prestigious achievement in this milieu.
