ABOUT THE SMELLY VIALS PERFUME CLUB
The SVPC is a membership program for folks in the IAO community that have consistently been involved and supportive in our mission and programming. Members range in experience, but all share a curiosity about perfumery, and a will to learn, together.
As a member of the Smelly Vials Perfume Club, you are entitled to:
20% off all purchases and classes (with the exception of lab fees and select partnership events, where stated)
Access to our members-only bi-monthly special blending sessions
Reserved seating at the weekly open sessions (limit 4 members per open session)
A personalized punk-rock membership card
Access to members-only events
The knowledge that you are contributing to the survival of the IAO in the best way you can: By being there.
OUR CODE OF ETHICS
All members of the Smelly Vials Perfume Club agree to follow the following code of ethics:
- Be generous with your knowledge and information
- Be respectful of shared space, materials and tools
- Find joy in experimentation and occasional failure
- Be supportive of your lab-fellows, and the IAO
- Be humble in your expectations, but thorough in your explorations
- Be a non-conformist
Any violation of this code may result in removal of membership.

ABOUT THE CO-BLENDING SESSIONS
Blend with friends at The Smelly Vials Perfume Club Co-Blending sessions for intermediate and advanced independent perfumers. Please note that prior experience blending – and membership in The Smelly Vials Perfume Club – is required. If you’ve never lifted a pipette in your life, never visited the IAO, and don’t know your Aldehydes from your Musks, not to worry: Come to a few of our open sessions, and see how you like it!

COSTS
Lab Fee: $6.50 + A la carte (lab fee covers use of pipettes, blending tubs and glassware).
You can purchase materials on site to suit your experimentation, and of course can also bring your own materials from home.
Small Quantities Materials costs*:
• 1 dram vial of diluted aromamol. – $5.00
• 2 dram vial of diluted aromamol. – $8.00
• Perfumer’s Alcohol (in 8 oz bottle) – $10.00
*Your membership entitles you to a discount, as mentioned above.
